1. What We Collect

Caullit collects the minimum data necessary to operate the protocol interface. Specifically:

  • Wallet address — required to participate in predictions. This is a public blockchain identifier, not personal data in the traditional sense.
  • Display name and handle — optional. If you set a display name in your profile, it is stored and shown publicly alongside your predictions.
  • Prediction content — titles, descriptions, and resolution criteria you create are stored and displayed publicly.

We do not collect your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, or any government-issued identifier unless you voluntarily provide it.

2. What We Don't Collect

Caullit does not perform KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. We do not collect identity documents, proof of address, or any biometric data.

We do not collect payment information. All USDC transfers are handled entirely on-chain via smart contract. We never have custody of your funds.

We do not track your browsing history, build advertising profiles, or sell your data to third parties.

3. How Prediction Data Is Stored

Prediction data is stored in two places:

  • MongoDB Atlas — for fast UI queries and display. This is a centralized database operated by MongoDB, Inc., hosted in the EU or US.
  • Ethereum blockchain — stake and settlement data is written to the Ethereum network and is permanent, public, and immutable.

The blockchain record is the authoritative source of truth. The MongoDB record mirrors it for performance and may be deleted or migrated; the on-chain record cannot be altered.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Caullit uses minimal browser storage. We use:

  • Local storage — to remember your wallet connection preference and UI settings between sessions.
  • Session storage — for temporary UI state during a single session.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.

5. Third-Party Services

Caullit uses the following third-party services:

  • Vercel — hosting and edge delivery. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
  • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting. Subject to MongoDB's privacy policy.
  • Ethereum — blockchain network. All on-chain interactions are public and permanent.
  • Chainlink — oracle price feeds used for automatic resolution of eligible predictions.
  • WalletConnect / MetaMask — wallet connection libraries. Subject to their respective privacy policies.

We do not share personal data with these services beyond what is technically necessary for the service to function.

6. Data Retention

Display names and profile data are retained until you delete your profile or request deletion. On-chain records cannot be deleted.

To request deletion of off-chain profile data, contact us at caullit@proton.me.
